This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit https://localwerx.com, use LocalWerx Marketing Operating System (“MOS”), enroll in or use LocalWerx TextLead, or otherwise interact with LocalWerx products and services.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with LocalWerx and which services you use.
We may collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Name
- Business name
- Mailing or business address
- Email address
- Telephone or mobile number
- Account and profile information
- Subscription and billing-related information
- Information submitted through forms
- Customer support communications
- Marketing and business information you enter into LocalWerx MOS
- Information required to configure or provide LocalWerx services
We may also collect technical information associated with use of our websites and services, such as IP address, browser information, device information, login activity, cookies, and usage information.
How We Use Information
LocalWerx may use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our websites, software, and services
- Create and administer LocalWerx MOS accounts and workspaces
- Provide TextLead and other subscribed services
- Process and manage subscriptions and payments
- Authenticate users and protect account security
- Provide customer support
- Send service, account, security, and administrative communications
- Provide features requested or configured by users
- Diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse or fraud
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Communicate about LocalWerx products, services, resources, and updates where permitted by law
You may unsubscribe from promotional LocalWerx email communications without affecting transactional or service-related communications necessary to operate your account or subscribed services.
LocalWerx TextLead
LocalWerx TextLead allows a participating business to receive contact requests submitted by visitors through a TextLead-enabled website form or widget.
A TextLead submission may include information voluntarily provided by the website visitor, such as:
- Name
- Mobile or telephone number
- Requested contact method
- Reason for contacting the business
- Other information the visitor chooses to provide through the TextLead form
LocalWerx processes this information for the purpose of transmitting the visitor’s contact request to the participating business.
LocalWerx does not send TextLead SMS notifications to the website visitor. The TextLead SMS notification is sent by LocalWerx to the participating business or its authorized representative at the mobile number designated for TextLead notifications.
A visitor’s submission of a TextLead request is intended to allow the participating business to respond to that specific contact request. A TextLead submission does not, by itself, constitute consent for the participating business to enroll the visitor in recurring SMS messages, automated marketing, promotional text messages, or other marketing programs.
Participating businesses are responsible for obtaining any additional consent required before using TextLead information for purposes beyond responding to the visitor’s request.
TextLead SMS Consent and Mobile Information
Businesses using TextLead may optionally provide a mobile number and separately opt in to receive transactional LocalWerx TextLead SMS notifications at that number.
SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing, enrolling in, or using TextLead or any other LocalWerx product or service. Businesses that do not opt in to SMS notifications may still use TextLead and access their TextLead information through available LocalWerx account interfaces.
Businesses that opt in may receive TextLead SMS messages including website visitor contact requests, activation confirmations, usage notices, plan-limit notices, service-status information, and other transactional communications related to the TextLead service.
Message frequency varies according to website contact requests, service activity, and the subscriber’s TextLead plan. Message and data rates may apply.
Recipients may reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out of TextLead SMS notifications. Where supported, a recipient who previously opted out may reply START to resume TextLead SMS notifications.
LocalWerx does not sell SMS opt-in data or personal information.
LocalWerx does not share SMS opt-in data, SMS consent records, or mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be provided to telecommunications carriers and service providers solely as necessary to transmit and operate the requested SMS service, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with applicable law.
Opting out of TextLead SMS notifications does not automatically cancel a paid TextLead subscription or prevent access to TextLead information through available LocalWerx account interfaces.

LocalWerx MOS
LocalWerx MOS provides business marketing and management functionality through an authenticated account and workspace.
Depending on the MOS features you use, LocalWerx may process business information, contacts, content, marketing information, campaign information, social media information, account settings, uploaded materials, analytics, and other information you choose to store or process through the platform.
LocalWerx uses this information to provide the MOS features requested by the user, maintain and secure the platform, provide customer support, and improve the operation of our services.
Connected Social Media Accounts
LocalWerx MOS allows users to connect certain third-party social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and other supported platforms, to use social media management features within MOS.
When you connect a social media account, LocalWerx may receive and process information made available by that platform and authorized by you.
Depending on the platform and features you use, this information may include:
- Social media account or business profile identifiers
- Profile information
- Access tokens
- Posts and other content
- Comments or messages
- Engagement information
- Account insights
- Other information necessary to provide the requested functionality
LocalWerx uses this information only as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the features you choose to use, such as connecting social accounts, publishing or scheduling content, displaying account information and performance data, and managing supported interactions.
LocalWerx does not sell data obtained from connected social media platforms.
Your use of a connected social media service is also subject to that service’s own terms and privacy policies.
You may disconnect supported social media accounts from LocalWerx MOS. You may also request deletion of data associated with a connected account by contacting LocalWerx.
When required by an applicable platform, LocalWerx handles information received through its APIs in accordance with that platform’s developer terms, policies, and applicable data-use requirements.
Payments
LocalWerx may use third-party payment processors to process subscription and service payments.
Payment card information submitted through a payment processor is handled according to that provider’s security and privacy practices. LocalWerx may receive information associated with a transaction, such as payment status, customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, billing status, and limited payment-method information needed to administer your subscription.
Service Providers and Disclosure of Information
LocalWerx may use third-party service providers to operate our business and provide requested services. These may include hosting providers, payment processors, telecommunications providers, email delivery providers, security services, analytics providers, connected platforms, and other technology vendors.
These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for LocalWerx or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
LocalWerx does not sell personal information.
LocalWerx may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, regulatory requirements, protect the security or integrity of our services, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights and safety of LocalWerx, our customers, or others.
As stated above, SMS opt-in data, SMS consent records, and mobile information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies
LocalWerx websites and services may use cookies and similar technologies to provide essential functionality, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand website usage, improve services, and support analytics or advertising where applicable.
When you log in to a LocalWerx service, cookies may be used to maintain your authenticated session and remember account or display preferences.
You can control certain cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some website or application functionality from working properly.
Comments
If comments are enabled on a LocalWerx website, we may collect the information entered in the comment form along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent information to assist with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from an email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether the commenter uses that service. Use of Gravatar is subject to its provider’s privacy practices.
Media
If you upload images to a LocalWerx website or service, you should avoid including embedded location information, such as EXIF GPS data, unless you intend for that information to be included.
Depending on where an image is published, others may be able to download the image and extract embedded information.
Embedded Content and Third-Party Websites
LocalWerx websites may include embedded content or links to third-party websites, videos, images, articles, applications, or services.
Interaction with third-party content may allow those third parties to collect information, use cookies, or otherwise process information according to their own privacy policies and practices.
LocalWerx is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.
Data Retention
LocalWerx retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, administer accounts and subscriptions, maintain legitimate business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the service involved, and applicable legal or operational requirements.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it consistent with applicable requirements.
Data Security
LocalWerx uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No internet transmission, telecommunications network, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the ability to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information.
You may update certain account information through your LocalWerx account where those controls are available.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe instructions provided in those communications.
TextLead SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out of TextLead SMS notifications.
Requests concerning personal information may be submitted to support@localwerx.com.
Certain information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.
Children’s Privacy
LocalWerx products and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children.
We do not knowingly design LocalWerx services for the collection of personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements.
